Elizabeth M. Hecht, Esq.

Throughout much of her professional life, Elizabeth (“Beth”) Hecht litigated personal injury cases of virtually all varieties primarily in the Ninth Judicial District and Bronx County. While the focus of her practice was defense-oriented, she always maintained a small but active plaintiff’s practice and for the past 12 years, her plaintiff’s work has predominated. Beth is also an accomplished appellate litigator with decades of experience in the First and Second Departments. She is a past Chair of the NYSBA Trial Lawyers’ Executive Committee (2013) and a Fellow of the New York Bar Foundation (2014 – present). A strong devotee of mentorship, she considers her four years as an adjunct professor at St. John’s University School of Law (N.Y. Practice) a personal and professional highlight. She was also a faculty member of the NYSBA Trial Academy from 2013-2018. Beth approaches each of her mediation sessions with energy and optimism and enjoys the challenges of finding common ground and landing on that often- elusive number that gets the job done.
