Hon. Mark J. Grisanti

Honorable Mark J. Grisanti is an experienced mediator, litigator, and respected Supreme Court Judge, with 10 years of bench experience and an uncompromising approach to legal adjudication. He is dedicated to a faithful interpretation of laws with deference to legislative intent and purpose.

Judge Grisanti served as a New York State Senator with 4 years of experience representing his New York constituents. Judge Grisanti was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1993 and practiced before all New York State and Federal Courts in the 8th Judicial District. He is a third-generation attorney with a law practice started by his grandfather Nicholas in 1921. Judge Grisanti oversaw civil litigation of all facets, and while on the bench was recognized as “Jurist of the Year” in 2023 from New York State Trial Lawyers (Western Region) and received accolades from Defense Trial Lawyers Association of Western New York also in 2023. Judge Grisanti’s judicial and political service, and his family’s legal heritage frame his foundational commitment to the rule of law, legal ethics, and a doctrine of fairness as an attorney, Judge, and mediator.

As a Supreme Court Judge from 2015-2024, Judge Grisanti presided over hundreds of settlement conferences, both in-person and virtually. He resolved 750-1000 cases annually either by way of settlement, motions, hearings, or trial, while assisting in jury selection and providing instruction and guidance to jurors during proceedings. Judge Grisanti prepared countless written opinions or ruled from the bench on a variety of civil cases from motor vehicle to contract disputes, to various malpractice matters as well as SUM cases and other Arbitration matters.

As a litigator, Mr. Grisanti conducted settlement negotiations and trials in both civil and criminal matters in all courts including Federal in the New York State area.
